UNICAL MANAGEMENT ANNOUNCES CHANGE IN POST-UTME SCREENING MODE
...Cancels Aptitude Test, Extends Deadline For Registration
The Management of the University of Calabar desirous of easing the stress on candidates seeking admission into the institution for the 2024/2025 academic session have announced a change in the mode of her screening exercise.
A statement from the Registrar and Secretary of the University's Governing Council, Mr. Gabriel O. Egbe states that; "Management of the University, having taken into consideration, factors such as high cost of transportation occasioned by fuel scarcity in the country, accommodation, logistics and the security situation in the Country, has decided to cancel the 2024/2025 Post-UTME screening exercise".
Accordingly, candidates who chose the University of Calabar as their first choice institution and have registered online for the 2024 Post-UTME screening exercise, are therefore advised to visit the nearest JAMB-CBT centre to upload their O’level results.
The statement adds that the University will score all candidates based on their O’level grades, using the point tally system for the purpose of 2024/2025 admissions.
To this end, the University has given a one week extension for its Post-UTME registration.
Candidates that are yet to register are further advised to take advantage of the extension of the registration period as there will be no further extension after the 31st August deadline.
